Most Nevada ID Card holders are now eligible for online renewal - even if you received a post card stating you must renew in person. Your new card will be mailed with your existing photo.

  • Expiration date of March 12, 2020 or later - renew now if your ID is expired
  • Renew up to 90 days prior to expiration
  • No late fees through January 31, 2021
  • Use the Address Change transaction if you need to update your address. Your ID card will automatically renew.

Important - Cancel Your Appointment

After you've renewed, come back and cancel your office appointment if you have one. It's important so we can serve other Nevadans who must visit the DMV in person.

Who is not eligible?

Sorry but any ID card with a term of less than four years does not qualify for online renewal.

Special Hours

If you are not able to renew your ID online, you may visit the offices in Henderson, Las Vegas and Reno on Saturdays without an appointment. Hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or until the office reaches capacity.

Appointments
